I love the idea that Marvel is subtitling their movies instead of giving them numbers (other than Iron Man, and presumably Avengers Dos – I’m just spit-balling that it’ll be in Spanish. I could be wrong.)
The big news is that the subtitle for the next Captain America movie is “The Winter Soldier” which is a story arc written by Ed Brubaker. Without giving too much away, the story involves Bucky and the Cosmic Cube. So, obviously it’s a pretty good fit for the Marvel movie universe right now. If you want to know more about it, click this link to read all about Bucky and The Winter Soldier. Or buy the collected issues HERE.
As a side note, Ed Brubaker had no idea they were going to be turning his story into the next Cap movie and upon finding out (along with the rest of us) his response was, and I’m not kidding, “HOLY SHIT”. Then he got very excited, as would anyone, I imagine. But that also illustrates just how under lock-and-key the Marvel movies are. Sheesh. Talk about “need to know”.
Anyway, since the reveal of the title card and date, more news has surfaced. It appears that We Are Marshall‘s own Anthony Mackie will be playing The Falcon (another old school Captain America ally, and the first mainstream black super hero for Marvel).

And, of course, the story about Sebastian Stan returning as Bucky. *wink*
